Foolad Novin Khuzestan Football Club (Persian: باشگاه فوتبال فولاد نوين خوزستان) is an Iranian football club, based in Ahvaz, Khuzestan. They currently compete in the 2011–12 Iran Football's 2nd Division.
History
Foolad Novin F.C. was formed in 2008 with the aim of supporting feeder club Foolad F.C.. The relationship was built as a foundation for the development of football and coaching in Khuzestan province.[1] The club started with the acquisition of Dayhim Ahvaz F.C. license, a club which played in the second division of Iranian football in 2008.[2]
With players explicitly from Khuzestan province, the club had initial success, winning the league in its first season and gaining promotion to the Azadegan League[3]
